Author Rachel Kramer Bussell at the Village Voice website has a great article piece there called E-so Horny, interviewing a porn star.

I always find it amusing when you hear these people in the adult industry that are really “shy”. Shy? As compared to what?

It’s nice to see women becoming really popular who don’t have big or fake tits, and for a change instead are about showing their real selves while getting into the sex on videocam. I always present myself like that in videochat. I am pretty much myself on cam, and I think it’s best to be that way.

I just got a positive response from the “mainstream” lady.

She said she still wants to be friends and if she had the body, she would seriously consider being an online adult host too!

That’s great. I will go forward with the group and see what happens. We plan on going to see a film this weekend. I hope more people show up this time.

I am pretty much a loner, spending all my time online and offline with people and boyfriend who knows I am an adult webcam model and don’t judge me.

But Jay suggested it would be healthy if I also made “mainstream” friendships. So that’s why I started trying this weekend.

The one I spent a lot of time in my Sex and the City group–who was very free-spirited sexually in the 60’s who is now about 60–seemed to take interest in my job as a counselor online (that’s what I told them I do for a living, which is partially true. I do counsel if guests want that–I’m a real experienced counselor, but of course
mainly strip/masturbate on cam). As I said, we hit it off great, hanging out long after everyone else left the restaurant.

I showed up 30 minutes early at the meeting of my Sex and the City group on Saturday, so I decided to walk around the mall. When I got to the restaurant, one was already there. Soon, two more showed. So everyone showed as expected at the last count.

Everyone was friendly and nice.

I had a portobello mushroom sandwich with fries. Unfortunately, they no longer carry New York Cheesecake–the only dessert I wanted. Everyone else had a sandwich or soup and salad. The food and atmosphere was excellent. It is a great place to dine.

It seems like ImLive is overloading on features these days.

Now, there will be a regular adult celebrity chat for guests there to see and chat with. She appeared from her home. I missed watching it but I hope there will be a tape of that video show somewhere to be found at ImLive. I hope this feature really does boost traffic business for us hosts, and not just bring traffic to her.

I haven’t mentioned my online chick lit book club (in the last paragraph) in awhile; it is coming along swimmingly. I now have 53 members! I keep advertising about it regularly.

I listed Christmas chick lit books for us to read during the holidays, and I was really pumped to read them, but I didn’t read any! I think the main reason being I was just burned out from reading two books a month religiously, plus a few non-chick lit books on the side. I haven’t read this much since I was a teenager! So for the month of December, I didn’t read much.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! New Year’s was pretty quiet for me. Jay and I both have a cold and I started my period today! Maybe this is a good omen that 2007 will be awesome for us; I hope so, and I hope the New Year will be fantastic for you too.
